If you purchased your ticket online via Castbooker, please bring your confirmation email and some form of identification with you when you fish as you may need to show them to a Bailiff (this can be printed or on your phone).
Stock

The Association stocks regularly with top quality rainbow trout averaging 2lbs with good numbers of fish in the 4lb -8lb bracket.

Rules

High Newton Fishery Rules

Permit holders agree to read and comply with the fishery rules as printed below and/or displayed on the fishery notice boards and to comply with the Environment Agency Fishery Bylaws. Failure to do so renders the permit invalid. You must carry this permit with you while fishing.

  • Strictly fly only.
  • All brown and tiger trout must be returned.
  • Any fish caught weighing 5lbs or more must be returned to the water.
  • Barbless or de-barbed hooks only.
  • Sight indicators are permitted.
  • When fishing sunken line tactics the fly must be continuously worked.
  • The rod must be held whenever a fly is in the water.
  • Catch and release is permitted.
  • The bag limit is two fish. Anglers may not share the bag limit.
  • Night fishing is strictly prohibited.
  • No wading, no dogs, no radios, no barbecues.
  • No discarding of monofilament fishing line
  • All litter to be taken home
