Access is via just on either side of the bridge to the upper and lower stretches.
Description
St. Patrick’s Stream is a quality stretch of water running between the Thames and the Loddon at Charvil. Upper St Pats. is the left bank, from Thames Drive downstream to Loddon Drive, approx 1100 metres. Lower St Pats. is the right bank, from Loddon Drive to the confluence with the River Loddon, approx 600 metres.
With shallow, gravelly glides and deep pools and back-eddies, ‘The Pats’, as it often referred to, offers some of the best barbel fishing in the south.
Specimens to over 17 pounds have been caught, along with chub in excess of eight pounds. Roach, dace, bream, perch and pike are all present as well, enabling the river to offer something for specimen hunter and stick float fisherman alike. With more than 70 well marked pegs, The Pats is also a popular match venue.
Access is via Loddon Drive on the A4 between Charvil and Twyford. After crossing the bridge, there is a members’ car park on the left-hand side. The club has fishing rights on the car park bank going upstream, and the opposite bank downstream of the car park.
Members are able to purchase guest tickets
Membership is open for new members
Upper St Patricks Stream allows upstream Dry Fly fishing for trout only during the months of April and May

If you purchased your ticket online via Castbooker, please bring your confirmation email and some form of identification with you when you fish as you may need to show them to a Bailiff (this can be printed or on your phone).

Fishery Rules
No night fishing after midnight on lower stretch downstream of the bridge. No audible alarms are permitted on this stretch. Pegs 67 and 68 must be vacated by 9:30pm.
